Mark Hertling, DBA

Mark Hertling is a DBA with a long and varied work experience. Mark began their career in 1975 as a Soldier, Commander and Lieutenant General in the US Army, where they went on to serve as Commander of US Army Europe, Deputy Commander of Initial Military Training and Commander of the 1st Armored Division. In 2013, they were appointed to the President's Council on Fitness, Sport and Nutrition and began working for AdventHealth as Global Strategy and Leader Development. In 2014, they began working for CNN as a National Security and Military Analyst and National Security Analyst. In 2016, they became an author for RosettaBooks, writing the book "Growing Physician Leaders". In 2018, they began working as a Leadership Development Designer/Trainer for various organizations. In 2020, they became an Adjunct Professor at the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. In 2021, they became a Lead Faculty Member, Physician Leader Development at Practicing Excellence and a Commissioner, Presidential Appointee at the American Battle Monuments Commission.

Mark Hertling, DBA has an extensive education history. Mark earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1975. In 1983 and 1984, they attended Indiana University Bloomington and obtained a Master of Science in Kinesiology/Physiology. In 1987 and 1988, they attended the U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) and obtained a Masters in Military Arts and Sciences. In 1997 and 1998, they attended the National Defense University and obtained a Masters in National Security Studies. Finally, they attended the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College from 2016 to 2019 to pursue a Doctorate in Business Administration, DBA.
