Fiona Markwood is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and clinical research sectors, currently serving as Vice President and Head of Global Operations for Early Development Solutions at PPD since October 2019. In this role, Fiona manages global operations, focusing on data science, clinical, and project management to ensure high-quality delivery of early-phase trials. Previous positions include Vice President of Early Development Services at PPD, Executive Vice President of Oncology at Novella Clinical, and Vice President of Global Project Management and Global Strategic Alliance at ICON plc. Additional experience includes overseeing clinical operations and global alliances at Core Lab Partners and leadership as Executive Director and Director of Operations at Wyeth. Fiona holds a Master of Science Post Baccalaureate from Bryn Mawr College and a Bachelor of Arts from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
