Michiel Boes has a diverse work experience spanning a range of roles and industries. Michiel started their career as a Research Trainee at ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences in 2009. In 2010, they worked as a Research Trainee at the University of St Andrews. Later that year, they joined Ghent University as a PhD Student, a role they held until 2016. During this time, they also worked as a PhD Student at Research Foundation Flanders - FWO from 2011 to 2015. In 2016, Michiel founded Wanderlust Ltd., where they focused on rethinking trip planning and booking. Michiel served as the Founder of the company until 2019. In the same year, they joined Pozyx Labs as an R&D Engineer - Data Science, a position they currently hold. Additionally, Michiel has held various leadership roles at the Ghent University Symphony Orchestra from 2008 to 2014, including President, PR Manager, and Webmaster. Overall, their work experience showcases a strong academic background and a passion for innovation and travel.

Michiel Boes pursued their education from 2005 to 2010 at Ghent University, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Engineering Physics. In 2008, they also attended the Warsaw University of Technology for a Summer School on Artificial Intelligence.
