Amraphel Catapia is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in various roles within the technology sector. Since August 2015, Amraphel has served as a Principal Software Engineer I at PowerSchool, having progressed through positions including Lead Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. Prior experiences include senior software engineering and architecture roles at Pearson, where contributions spanned from March 2013 to July 2015, and leadership as Director of Technology at bazinga! Technologies. Amraphel's career began in the late 1980s with programming roles at UBC Civil Engineering Department and H.A. Simons Ltd. Amraphel holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from The University of British Columbia, obtained from 1983 to 1988, and possesses a strong focus on software development processes, project planning, and web-based front-end framework development, along with mentoring and training capabilities.
