Donnie Voland has extensive experience in process engineering and research, currently serving as R&T Operations Manager at Powerex Inc. since February 2016, with previous roles including Process Engineering Manager, Senior Process Engineer, and Process Engineer. Prior to this, Donnie was a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh from January 2013 to January 2016, where significant contributions were made to the design and fabrication of graphene-based infrared sensors. Donnie's research experience also includes developing high-sensitivity infrared sensors and investigating carbon nanotubes and monolayer graphene synthesis for solar cell applications. Additionally, Donnie completed an engineering internship at American Textile Company in 2012, enhancing skills in Lean manufacturing and 5S management. Educationally, Donnie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Science with a focus on Nanotechnology from the University of Pittsburgh.
