Dr. Waleed Sallami graduated form Cairo University in 1998 with a B.Sc. In Mechanical Engineering and earned his Master’s degree in 2003. He then received his PhD in 2009 form Cairo University’s Mechanical Engineering Department.
He started his career as an engineer in the Research & Development department of one of the top companies in the manufacturing of diesel generators. In this position he designed and manufactured the first prototype of a locally-produced sound-proof canopy and oversaw the launch of the production line for sound-proof diesel generators in 1999. He took part in various international projects and events such as the export of generators to Iraq under the Oil-fo-Food UN Program, exporting gensets to Japan after the Fukushima incident and providing generators for the Millennium Ceremony which took place at the Giza Pyramids in 2000.
