Lisa Pitot has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Lisa started their career in 2006 at Poudre School District as a Science Curriculum Facilitator, where they provided support to K-12 Science and Health teachers and facilitated professional development. Lisa also served as a community liaison for STEM related partnerships. In 2010, they worked as a Teacher in Resident at Colorado State University and Poudre School District. From 2012 to 2018, they held the position of Science Teacher and High School Earth Systems Science Instructor at Poudre School District. Since 2018, they have been working as an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Lisa Pitot has an extensive education history. Lisa pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Watershed Science from Colorado State University from 1985 to 1988. Following this, they attended the University of Northern Colorado from 1990 to 1992, where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree and a Secondary Science Teaching Certificate, specializing in Earth Science and Education. Continuing their educational journey, from 2008 to 2014, Lisa pursued a PhD in Education and Human Resource Studies with a focus on Education Leadership - STEM Education at Colorado State University.
