Mehrnaz A. currently serves as the Group Leader at the SCAI - Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing since January 2023. Prior roles include Researcher at the PIK - Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research from August 2019, and Scientific Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems from November 2017 to July 2019. Additional experience includes positions as Project Scientist at Jacobs University Bremen and the Lower Saxony research network "smart Nord," as well as Research Assistant at Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg. Mehrnaz began the research career as a Research Scientist at Sharif University of Technology. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, a Master's degree in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics, and a Bachelor's degree in Atomic/Molecular Physics, both from Iran University of Science and Technology.
