Katharine Myrans has a diverse work experience in the environmental and planning fields. Katharine started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Toronto, where they worked on academic publications related to climate change. Katharine'sresponsibilities included data collection, document editing, and graph creation and analysis. Katharine then went on to work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto, where they assisted with teaching responsibilities.
In 2010, Katharine joined Dillon Consulting Limited as an Environmental Planner. Katharine worked in this role for five years, until 2015. During their time at Dillon, they gained experience in environmental planning and management.
In 2016, Katharine joined Stantec as an Environmental Planner. Katharine worked in this role until 2018, gaining further experience in environmental planning and project management.
Katharine then transitioned to Potentia Renewables Inc., where they held two positions. From 2018 to 2020, they served as the Environment and Permitting Manager, overseeing environmental assessments and permitting processes. Katharine then advanced to the role of Director, Environment and Community Consultation in 2020, where they were responsible for leading the company's environmental and community consultation initiatives.

Katharine Myrans pursued their education in the field of environment and resource management. From 1998 to 2002, they attended the University of Toronto - University of Trinity College, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree. Later, from 2007 to 2009, Katharine enrolled at the University of Toronto to obtain their Master of Science degree in Geography and Collaborative Program in Environmental Studies.
