Garret Cree has a diverse work experience, beginning with the founding of their own business, Food for Health, in 2014. Garret then worked as a Research Assistant for the Cognitive & Psychotic Disorders Lab at Queen's University and a Data Analyst for the Office of Institutional Research & Planning at Queen's University from 2015-2017. In 2017, they founded FreeDays to help universities make sense of complicated academic schedules. From 2019-2020, they worked as a Data Engineer for Freebird Connect and MaRS Discovery District. In 2020, they took on the role of Data Analytics Lead at MaRS Discovery District. Garret currently works as a Data Engineer for Postscript, where they monitor data integrity with automated scripts deployed with Amazon ECS and Fargate, and deploys infrastructure using Terraform.
Garret Cree completed a Bachelor of Arts, Honours in Psychology from Queen's University in 2016. Garret then pursued a Master of Information in Information Systems & Design from the University of Toronto from 2016 to 2018. In 2018, they completed a course in Process Mining: Data Science in Action from Coursera.
