Andrea Ianni

Senior Data Scientist, Team Lead at Poste Italiane

Andrea Ianni has a diverse work experience spanning several years. They began their career as a PHD Researcher at the Université de Montréal in 2012. They then worked as a Mathematics Professor at Istituto E.Mattei in 2014, managing multiple classes and effectively handling various situations. From 2013 to 2014, Andrea worked at ELIS.org as a member of Italia-Lab, a collaborative innovation laboratory focused on developing innovative projects for different sectors. In 2014, they also pursued a Master's degree in ICT, Development, and Application Services in the Cloud at ELIS.org. In 2015, Andrea worked as a Salesforce Consultant at Enigen Italia, involved in configuring user accounts and customizing the Salesforce platform. Following this, they joined Engineering Ingegneria Informatica Spa as a Data Scientist, contributing to the implementation of innovative solutions using Data Mining algorithms and Big Data tools. In 2020, Andrea joined NTT DATA Italia as a Senior Data Scientist and Team Lead, and they currently hold the same position at Poste Italiane, where they have been working since 2023.

Andrea Ianni holds a Dottorato di Ricerca (PhD) in Ricerca Operativa from Sapienza Università di Roma, which was completed from 2008 to 2013. In 2011, Andrea also pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Ricerca Operativa at Polytechnique Montréal. Prior to that, Andrea earned a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Engineering/Industrial Management from Sapienza Università di Roma, which was completed from 2002 to 2008. Additionally, Andrea holds several certifications, including SPSS Modeler Professional v3 from IBM Services in 2019, Professional Scrum Developer I (PSD I) from Scrum.org in 2018, Salesforce certifications in 2015, AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2020, and various Google Cloud Platform certifications in 2018.
