Steve Dobie has worked in the software engineering field since 1994. Steve began their career as a Software Engineer at Acoustic Imaging in 1994. Steve then moved to KinetX, Inc. in 1996, where they were responsible for the design and implementation of several components of a new satellite command and control product suite. In 1998, they joined Essential Wisdom, LLC as a Senior Engineer, where they were a founding member and primary developer of the company's first product, Essential Maxim. In 1999, they joined Vcommerce, Inc. as a Senior Staff Engineer, where they were a core developer of the Order Management System. In 2009, they moved to Channel Intelligence as a Software Engineer, where they were the technical lead for the Webstore project. In 2012, they joined myList as a Software Engineer, where they developed a system for importing product catalogs and associated imported products with user-added items, as well as an API to support the myList operational management tool suite. In 2014, they joined Office Depot as an Ecommerce Architect. Finally, in 2020, they joined Possible as a Senior Software Engineer.

Steve Dobie received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona in 1991, having started their studies in 1987.
