Janet Carter has a wealth of experience in the non-profit sector, with a particular focus on youth sports and violence prevention. Janet currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), a position they assumed in 2022 following the merger of PCA and Coaching Corps. Prior to this, they worked as the President and CEO of Coaching Corps for 14 years, where they played a key role in expanding access to quality sports experiences for children in underserved communities. Janet's career in non-profit leadership began in 2008 when they joined Coaching Corps as the Executive Director. Before that, they held the position of Vice President at the Family Violence Prevention Fund, now known as Futures Without Violence, for over two decades, from 1983 to 2006.
Janet Carter holds a Master of Science degree in Psychology from Oakland University.
