Max Bennett has a solid work history, starting as a Staff Accountant at Amerifoods from June 2008 to August 2011. Max then joined Ernst & Young as an Auditor in September 2011 and worked there for ten years, until October 2021. At Ernst & Young, Max performed complex audits, managed client portfolios, and designed controls for SOX reporting. In October 2021, Max transitioned to Medable, Inc as a Senior Manager, Accounting. During their time at Medable, they led the accounting department, assisted in due diligence for M&A opportunities, and handled investor inquiries for a startup valued over $2 billion. Max's most recent role is as the Director - Assistant Controller at Portside, starting in June 2023.

Max Bennett has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting and Finance, which they obtained from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga from 2006 to 2010. Max further pursued Master of Accountancy from the same institution from 2010 to 2011. Max also holds a certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the Tennessee State Board of Accountancy.
