Sherin Gorza has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Sherin started their career at Oceantranz Ltd in 1996, where they worked as a Customer Services / Port Operations & Logistics Manager. During their time there, they were involved in starting up a shipping agency, implementing administrative systems, and developing a database software system used by the company and its overseas offices.
In 2001, Sherin joined McKay Shipping Ltd as a Sales Representative, where they focused on sales calls, maintaining client relationships, and coordinating cargo deliveries. Sherin then moved on to Pacific Freight Management Ltd in 2002, taking on the role of Office Manager / Export Operations. Here, they developed a database software system for all bookings, documentation, invoicing, and more. Sherin also handled reporting, cash-flow management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and tax estimates.
In 2006, Sherin became the Operation Manager at PFL Cargo, where they managed operational requirements, coordinated container packing and planning, and trained the customer services team. Sherin also implemented improvements to enhance the company's performance and profitability.
Sherin then joined Kuehne + Nagel in 2007 as Key Accounts / Export Operations personnel, responsible for customer service, export operations, and coordinating delivery, packing, and FCL delivery to the port.
After their time at Kuehne + Nagel, Sherin worked at Fonterra Co-op NZ Ltd from 2010 to 2016 as a Sales Operations Executive - Key Accounts. Their duties included managing key accounts, receiving positive performance reviews from managers.
Most recently, Sherin has been employed at Ports of Auckland since 2016. Sherin initially worked as a Customer Service Representative, then as a Gate Operations - Shuttle Coordinator/Documentation Officer, and currently holds the position of Equipment Controller.
Sherin Gorza attended Lytton High School in Gisborne from 1986 to 1990. During this time, they completed their University Entrance. Sherin then went on to enroll at Massey University from 1992 to 2000 as an extramural student on a part-time basis. The field of study for both their high school education and university education is not specified.
