Aseem Kishore is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in fintech and software development. Recently serving as Founding Engineer at Portola since November 2023, Aseem is focused on creating Tolan, an innovative voice-native AI project. Prior to this, Aseem held the position of VP of Engineering at Pomelo, Inc., where the company provided affordable financial services for immigrants in the US. Aseem’s notable roles include Head of Engineering at Cardless, Director of Engineering at Even, and Director of Engineering at FiftyThree, where foundational apps like Paper were developed. Aseem began the career as a Software Engineer at Microsoft, progressing to Engineering Manager, and has also contributed to R&D and educational initiatives at MIT. Aseem holds a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
