David Long

Vice President, Digital And Innovation at Portland Trail Blazers

David Long has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. David currently works at the Portland Trail Blazers @ the Rose Quarter, where they have held multiple positions in digital marketing since joining in 2016. David started as a Digital Marketing Specialist and then became a Digital Marketing Manager before being promoted to the role of Director of Digital Marketing and Innovation in August 2021.

Prior to their current role, David worked at One Eighty Films as a Social Media Manager from December 2013 to October 2016. David successfully created and managed a social media campaign that garnered over 14,000 fans on Facebook. This achievement led to increased business for One Eighty Films in the social media realm.

Before joining One Eighty Films, David worked at X Factor Advertising as a Digital Marketing Manager and Media Buyer from May 2011 to October 2016. David was responsible for designing and implementing digital marketing campaigns, utilizing SEM platforms and social media paid advertising channels. David excelled in identifying target audiences and crafting effective ads.

Further back in their career, David had experience as an Athletics/Substitute Teacher at Catlin Gabel School from November 2011 to March 2016. David also had roles as a Program Associate - Intern at Marin Organic, an ESL Teacher at ELS Language Center, and a First Grade ESL Teacher at Worwick Franklin School.

David began their career in 2009 as a Seasonal Athlete(Sales) at Nike.

Overall, David Long has demonstrated expertise in digital marketing, social media management, and teaching, with a track record of success in different organizations and roles.

David Long attended Corvallis High School from 2000 to 2004. David then pursued higher education at the University of Oregon from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Economics.

In addition to their formal education, David has obtained several certifications in the field of digital marketing. David obtained the Google Analytics Certification from Google in February 2016 and the Google Tag Manager Fundamentals certification in July 2015. David also holds the Bing Ads Accredited Professional certification from Microsoft, which they obtained in January 2014, and the Google Adwords Certified Professional certification, earned in May 2013.
