Melissa E. has extensive experience in financial operations, primarily within the education and healthcare sectors. Currently serving as Senior Financial Operations Manager for General Ledger Accounting at Portland Public Schools since August 2017, Melissa has also held roles including Interim Director of Budget & Grant Accounting and Senior Financial Operations Manager for Budget & Grant Accounting. Prior experience includes positions as Accounting Manager at Pacific Northwest College of Art and Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare, as well as various accounting roles in earlier career stages. Melissa is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Portland State University, expected to be completed in 2025, and has a foundational educational background from Portland Community College.
