Jeffrey Coggins

Magic Of Christmas Chorus Accompanist at Portland Symphony Orchestra

Jeffrey Coggins is an experienced music professional with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Southern Maine. Currently serving as the Magic of Christmas Chorus Accompanist for the Portland Symphony Orchestra since October 2019, Coggins also holds the position of Choral Studies Accompanist at the Osher School of Music, where responsibilities include accompanying the University Chorale, Chamber Singers, and Southern Maine Youth Chorale. Coggins has been the Chorus Accompanist for the Tri-City Community Chorus since August 2015 and served as the Honors Festival Chorus Accompanist for the Maine Music Educators Association until March 2024. Additionally, Coggins has extensive experience as a chorus accompanist for various Maine public schools from September 2003 to December 2023 and held music leadership roles at St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish and other local church parishes. Coggins has also contributed significantly to Maine musical theaters as a piano-conductor, synthesizerist, and rehearsal accompanist for numerous productions from June 1998 to March 2020, alongside a tenure as Music Director for Booth Theatre Company.
