Paul Jansen has a diverse work experience. Paul currently works as a Finance Director at Portbase since March 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director at Nextlogic from March 2020 to February 2022.

Paul's longest tenure was at the Port of Rotterdam, where they held various roles. Paul worked as an Advisor Strategic Finance & Treasury from December 2014 to February 2022. In this position, they provided advice on investments, corporate governance, and business case preparation. Additionally, they served as a Financial Advisor from August 2008 to February 2022. Paul also worked as an Advisor Investment Management, Interim Financial Controller, and Adviseur Planning & Control during their time at the Port of Rotterdam.

Furthermore, Paul worked at PortXL as a Financial & Legal Manager from October 2015 to December 2019. Paul was responsible for the financial and legal management of the organization.

Before joining PortXL, Paul was a Partner and co-founder at Excelution VOF from May 2006 to March 2019. Paul also worked as a Controller / Secretaris and Advisor Planning & Control at the Projectbureau Stadshavens Rotterdam from March 2009 to March 2011 and from August 2007 to February 2009, respectively.

Paul began their career as a Junior Controller at Ontwikkelingsmaatschappij Stadshavens Rotterdam N.V. from May 2006 to August 2007. Paul also gained experience as a Financial Trainee at the local government of Rotterdam from November 2004 to October 2006.

Additionally, Paul worked as a Consultant at FinEdge from April 2003 to September 2004 and as a Student-assistant at Erasmus University Rotterdam from April 2001 to April 2003.

Paul Jansen has an extensive educational background. Paul attended Erasmus University Rotterdam from 1999 to 2004, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Business Administration. Following this, they enrolled again at Erasmus University Rotterdam from 2007 to 2011 and completed a degree in Register Controller, Executive Master in Finance & Control.

Before attending university, Paul Jansen completed their secondary education at Emmauscollege Rotterdam from 1993 to 1999, where they earned their VWO diploma. Prior to that, they attended De Ark in Capelle aan den IJssel from 1985 to 1993 for their primary education.

In addition to their formal education, Paul Jansen has also obtained several certifications. Paul completed a course in leadership at de Baak in 2020 to 2021. Paul Jansen also holds the certifications of RegisterController (RC) from Vereniging van Registercontrollers (VRC), which they obtained in March 2011. Moreover, they achieved the Executive Master of Finance and Control (EMFC) from Erasmus School of Accounting and Assurance (ESAA) in March 2011. Lastly, Paul Jansen obtained a Model Baardaâ„¢ certification for rewards management from Bureau Baarda in March 2022.
