James Fyfe has held various positions in the engineering and digital industries since 2010. In 2010, they began their career as a Systems Engineer at Airbus, where they worked on fuel and inerting systems for aircraft such as the A320 range and the A350 XWB. James also managed and performed Lab and Flight tests for the A350 inerting system, leading and communicating with a multinational team. In 2013, they moved to D3O as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where they were a team leader, managing multiple employees' workloads and deliverables. In 2015, they founded the bootstrap ecommerce company GoBag, raising over $0.75 million on Kickstarter with 2500 backers in 51 countries. In 2016, they became a Senior Digital Project Manager for the Office of Environment and Heritage (NSW), leading the concurrent delivery of several digital projects in a multi-million dollar marketing campaign. In 2018, they joined oOh! as an Executive Digital Producer, overseeing the production of special digital and classic OOH campaign builds from concept sign off to retrospective reporting. In 2020, they became the CEO of Portant.
James Fyfe completed their education in the following order: Glenalmond College from 2002-2007, University of Nottingham from 2006-2010 where they earned a Mechanical Engineering MEng, and University of the West of England from 2011-2013 where they earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Art, Media and Design.
