Scott Selman has a significant amount of work experience, primarily in the role of Chief Operating Officer. Scott held this position at both the Port of Salalah and APM Terminals, starting in 2018 at the former and in 2007 at the latter. At APM Terminals, Selman also had various other roles including Regional General Manager, General Manager of Operations Execution, Shift Operations Manager, Assistant Operations Manager, and Operations Marshal. Additionally, they worked as the Chief Operating Officer at CMIT from 2016 to 2018.

Scott Selman has a BSc in Business Administration from USC Marshall School of Business. Scott also completed an Executive Education program called "Inspiring Maersk" at IMD in 2020. In 2013, they participated in the Corporate Program for Management Development at Esade and the MAGNUM Program for Executive Education and Leadership Development at APM Terminals. Additionally, they hold a Certificate in Language Studies in Mandarin from Peking University, obtained in 2005. Scott Selman also has another BSc in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
