Ellen Naaijkens is an experienced professional in the logistics and sustainable development sectors, currently serving as Senior Project Manager and Advisor for Sustainable Container Development at the Port of Rotterdam since June 2017. In this role, Ellen manages projects focused on zero-emission terminal development, digital inland port systems, and sustainable fuel usage. Previously, Ellen held positions as Senior Business Manager for Shippers & Forwarders and Senior Business Manager for Logistics at the Port of Rotterdam, where responsibilities included facilitating international supply chains and improving container flow handling. Prior experience includes advisory roles at Buck Consultants International, NIBC Bank, and project management at Rotterdams Interne Logistiek and Transport en Logistiek Nederland. Ellen holds a Master’s degree in International Economics and Economic Geography from Utrecht University and a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics & Marketing from Avans University of Applied Sciences.
