Douwe van der Stroom is an experienced professional with a robust background in business development and strategic management, currently serving as Programme Manager for Smart Energy & Industry at the Port of Rotterdam since October 2019. In addition, Douwe holds the title of Future Energy Leader at the World Energy Council, where participation involves engaging with global energy leaders to address system challenges. Douwe is also recognized as a Young Worldconnector, contributing to a network of leaders from diverse sectors to develop strategies for international issues. Previous roles include Business Development & Sales Strategist at PHYSEE Technologies and Assistant Manager of Business Development at The Netherlands British Chamber of Commerce. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science from Imperial College London and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from King's College London.
