Wayne Murphy is a seasoned professional in international trade and business development, currently serving as Business Development Manager for NSW at the Port of Melbourne since February 2023. Previously, Wayne held the position of Senior Export Adviser at Investment NSW from March 2021 to January 2023, facilitating businesses in the Riverina, Murray, and Southwest regions in enhancing their export capabilities. A significant part of Wayne's career includes over a decade with the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) as a Trade Adviser, alongside various senior export adviser roles within the NSW government. Wayne's foundational experiences include a stint as Business Development Manager at Bee Dee Bags and ownership of WTM Consulting. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from Charles Sturt University and a Diploma in International Business from UNSW. Wayne also participated in the Asialink Leaders Program in 2018.
