Byron Reynolds is an experienced ecologist currently employed at Port Macquarie-Hastings Council since July 2019, where responsibilities include reviewing ecological surveys related to development applications. Previously, Byron served as Acting Manager of Natural Resource Management, overseeing a team of 15 staff. Byron's background also includes key roles at the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, where coordination of oyster land-based inspections and environmental assessments occurred, and at the Department of Transport and Main Roads, focusing on environmental impact assessments for road construction. Early career experiences include teaching biology and science, as well as extensive horticultural work in various capacities. Byron holds a Master's in Environmental Management and an array of qualifications in environmental science, project management, and horticulture.
