Sonia Cornejo, LMSW, currently serves as a School Social Worker and Community School Coordinator at the Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District since December 2021. Prior experience includes a role as a bilingual Social Worker in a school-based setting at Westchester Jewish Community Services from August 2021 to August 2022, and Social Worker positions at Saint Basil Academy from May 2018 to August 2021. Sonia has also worked as a Career Counselor and Case Manager at Rockland BOCES between December 2019 and May 2021, and briefly served as a Teacher Assistant at James I O'Neill High School in late 2019. Earlier experience includes working as a Preschool Teacher and Child and Youth Program Assistant at West Point Child Development from May 2015 to September 2019. Sonia holds a Master's degree in Social Work from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from St. Thomas Aquinas College. Educational background also includes a High School Diploma from James I O'Neill High School.
