Francis T. has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Francis currently serves as the Director of Operations at Porifera, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to that, Francis held the role of Director Operations at Peridot Corporation from 2017 to 2021, where they successfully managed a $12 million profit and loss (P&L) and implemented strategies to improve on-time delivery and daily output.

From 2014 to 2017, Francis worked as the Director of Production at Fresenius Medical Care North America, overseeing an $8 million budget and leading manufacturing engineering and production for in-home equipment. Francis also managed cross-functional teams and implemented lean initiatives to maintain consistent product inventory across distribution sites.

Before that, Francis held the position of Senior Manager of Engineering at Greatbatch Medical, an Integer company, from 2007 to 2014. In this role, they managed a $1.5 million budget and oversaw manufacturing engineering and new product introduction functions. Francis also built strong relationships with internal departments and partnered with external OEM customers in the medical field.

Prior to Greatbatch Medical, Francis worked as an Engineering Group Manager at Boston Scientific from 2005 to 2007. Francis managed capital expenditures and led a team of manufacturing engineers, focusing on automated stent manufacturing processes and introducing new product platforms.

Throughout their career, Francis has demonstrated strong leadership, financial management, and process improvement skills, making significant contributions to the organizations they have worked with.

Francis T. holds a Master of Science (MS) in Materials Science from Penn State University. Francis also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration from the Darla Moore School of Business. Prior to that, Francis T. earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Materials Science from the University of Limerick, Ireland. In terms of additional certifications, they have completed training in Lean Manufacturing at the University of Michigan in September 2014 and in Lean Product Development at the same institution in September 2012. Additionally, Francis T. holds a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Boston Scientific in Plymouth, MN.
