Betty Abera has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Betty started their career as a Chemist/Analyst II at Maxxam Analytics from 1997 to 2003. Betty then worked as a Pharmacist at Safeway from 2003 to 2009, where they focused on prescription accuracy and patient counseling. Betty joined Rite Aid as a Pharmacy Manager in 2010, where they built a profitable business and led the pharmacy team. From 2015 to 2018, Betty worked at GSK as a Group Product Manager, overseeing marketing activities for various portfolios and conducting market research. Betty then moved to Population Services International in 2018, where they held multiple roles, including Product Portfolio & Marketing Manager, Senior Marketing Manager of the Social Business Unit, and currently serves as the Head of Social Business Marketing. Betty went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business from the University of Greenwich, which they completed from 2014 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, Betty also obtained a certification in Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery from the American Pharmacists Association in 2008.
