Magdaliz Villafane has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Magdaliz began their career at Procter & Gamble in 1994, where they worked as a Process Engineer for two years. Magdaliz then moved on to various managerial roles within the company, including Training and Development Manager, Integrated Work Systems Manager, and Operations Department Manager. In these positions, they focused on implementing Lean manufacturing practices, restructuring reward systems, and leading cultural change within the organization.
In 2002, Villafane joined Banco Popular de Puerto Rico as a Marketing Manager, where they were responsible for developing and executing communication strategies for various business units. Magdaliz later became the Customer Resolution Center Manager, overseeing claims and complaints management across different banking products. Finally, they took on the role of Commercial Operations VP, establishing a new department for commercial deposits operations.
Throughout their career, Villafane has demonstrated strong leadership and strategic planning skills, as well as a focus on improving customer experience and driving business results.
Magdaliz Villafane completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Industrial Engineering at Universidad de Puerto Rico from 1988 to 1993. Magdaliz also holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Xtreme Six Sigma, obtained in 2014.
