James Scott McKnight has a diverse background in creative and brand development, with experience in various industries such as entertainment and publishing. Currently, they are the Executive Creative Director at Pophouse Entertainment, where they lead creative initiatives. In addition, they are a Writer/creator - The Invisible Lights, a new fantasy universe in development.

In their previous role as Chief Creative Officer, Partner at The Blair Partnership, McKnight played a significant role in the development, strategy, and marketing of the Wizarding World franchise (including Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts) in collaboration with key partners. James Scott also served as the Franchise and Brand Development Director for the same franchise, responsible for management, strategy, and content development.

Prior to that, McKnight held roles at Mind Candy, where they were the Brand Director for Moshi Monsters & World of Warriors, and at Fluid World, where they served as the Head of Product Development for various brands including Hello Kitty and Mr. Men Little Miss.

James Scott'searlier experiences include working as a Designer at Nickelodeon, a Development Executive at Chapman Entertainment, and an Illustration Agent at The Bright Agency. McKnight also gained valuable experience at HarperCollins Publishers, where they held positions such as Designer & Creative Solutions Lead and Senior Sales & Marketing Executive.

In 2000, McKnight started their career as a Store Manager at Blockbuster. Overall, they have demonstrated a strong passion for creative development, franchise management, and brand strategy throughout their career.

James Scott McKnight attended various educational institutions in the UK. James Scott began their education journey at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama from 1994 to 1996, where they studied Drama and Theatre Arts. Following this, they attended Motherwell College in 1996 and 1997, earning an HNC in Acting and Performance, focusing on Drama and Dramatics/Theatre Arts. In 1997, they enrolled at Queen Margaret University, where they studied Drama & Theatre Arts until 2000. After a brief break, from 2001 to 2003, they pursued a degree in Contemporary Art at Nottingham Trent University. Lastly, from 2006 to 2008, they studied Graphic Design at the University of the Arts London.
