Alex Kruglov has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. In 2001, they interned at The Monitor Group before joining McKinsey & Co. in 2002 as a Business Analyst. During their time at McKinsey, they worked with senior management of various global companies and also led recruiting efforts for Brown University. In 2005, Alex joined Fox Searchlight Pictures as a Finance and Operations Associate before co-founding and producing "J.O.B. The Hip-Hopera", a critically acclaimed musical. Alex then moved to Sony Pictures Television in 2007, where they worked in Business Development. In 2008, Alex joined Hulu as the Head of Content Acquisition, responsible for overseeing all content acquisition and the rollout of Hulu Originals. Alex left Hulu in 2014 and joined Digital Content Group, LLC as an Advisory Board Member from 2015 to 2018. During this time, they also co-founded Smiletime Inc., an interactive live video platform, and later became the CEO and co-founder of pop.in, an app that facilitates group video chat and games. In 2022, they became the Founding Partner of Starts With Us and an Advisor for Telly.
Alex Kruglov began their education at Roxbury Latin School, where they completed their studies from 1992 to 1998. Alex then went on to attend Brown University from 1998 to 2002, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Business Economics. Later, from 2004 to 2006, Alex pursued a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School.
