Mikko Nissinen is a Test Engineer at Ponsse since September 2021 and a Junior Researcher at the University of Eastern Finland since December 2018, focusing on the tribology of articular cartilage in osteoarthritis for a Ph.D. thesis. Previous roles include Research Assistant positions at the University of Eastern Finland, where work involved magnetic resonance imaging and biomechanics of articular cartilage for MSc theses, as well as a brief Research Assistant role at the University of Oulu. Mikko also has experience as a Summer Trainee in Documentation at Ponsse Oyj and has contributed to research involving acoustic microscopy. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from the University of Eastern Finland.
