Darren Burton is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as Engineering Manager at Polywork since July 2019. Prior to this role, Darren held the position of Engineering Manager at Kalo for a brief period in 2019 and worked at Kite.ly from January 2015 to July 2019 as Strategic Technical Lead and Full Stack Software Engineer & Data Scientist, contributing to the development of technology for monetizing digital images. Earlier experience includes serving as a Software Developer at Ocean Labs, where backend development was performed for a social discovery platform, and conducting high-energy physics research as a PhD researcher at Imperial College London from October 2010 to April 2014, focusing on data analysis from the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. Darren holds a Doctor of Philosophy in High Energy Particle Physics from Imperial College London and a first-class honors degree in Physics from Durham University.
