Ryan Zimmerman, PHR, SHRMCP has extensive experience in human resources management. Ryan has held senior leadership roles in various companies, including POLYWOOD®, where they served as Sr. Director of Human Resources, leading and partnering with HR across the organization to support its rapid growth. Prior to this, they were the Director of Human Resources for POLYWOOD®, overseeing HR functions, talent development, and employee culture.
Before joining POLYWOOD®, Zimmerman was the Human Resources Manager at Utilimaster Corporation, responsible for managing employment practices and supervising benefits, payroll, and health and safety functions for a workforce of over 900 employees. Ryan also served as the Human Resource Generalist for Liberty Mutual Insurance, where they supported field local sales offices and the customer response center.
Zimmerman began their career as the Human Resource Manager at Essenhaus, Inc, where they managed employment practices for a company with over 450 employees. Ryan was involved in the recruitment and hiring process and worked closely with senior managers, department managers, and supervisors to ensure proper employment practices were followed.
Throughout their career, Zimmerman has demonstrated expertise in strategic HR direction, talent development, and creating inclusive and collaborative work cultures. Ryan is highly knowledgeable in maximizing organizational capability and promoting high performance and engagement.
Ryan Zimmerman, PHR, SHRMCP, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management from Bethel University. In December 2005, they obtained a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Human Resource Certificate Institute. In January 2015, they obtained both the SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and the SHRM-CP certifications from the SHRM and SHRM Certification institutions respectively.
