Rodney Summerscales is a Senior Software Engineer at POLYWOOD® since June 2022, with prior experience as an Assistant Professor at Andrews University from November 2013 to May 2022. Rodney holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology, obtained between 2007 and 2013, and has been an instructor at both Andrews University and Penn State University, teaching courses in programming languages and introductory programming. Previous software engineering roles include positions at LECO, where software was developed for Separation Science, and Centroid CNC, where work involved enhancing CAM software and porting control software from DOS to Linux. Rodney earned a Master of Science degree from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Andrews University.
