Szymon Tatara has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Szymon started their career as a Software Designer at Great Plains Software, followed by a similar role at Prokom Software SA. Szymon then joined GE Money Bank as a Project Manager, working there for five years before moving on to Bank BPH, GE Capital Group, where they served as a Program Manager. Szymon later worked at Atena as a Project Manager, responsible for the implementation of Microsoft Enterprise Project Management projects and delivering custom solutions. Szymon then transitioned to Alliance Healthcare, where they initially held the role of Program Manager, overseeing the implementation of a new warehouse management system. Later, they worked as a Project Manager at Alliance Healthcare, supporting local project managers and managing project management tasks. Szymon also gained experience as a Trainer at Conlea, delivering project management training and consulting services. Prior to their current role, they served as the Owner of Szymon Tatara Consulting. Currently, they are employed at Polpharma, where they first worked as the IT Projects Team Manager. Szymon then progressed to become the Head of IT Applications and later the Head of ERP and Quality Applications. Currently, they hold the role of Head of Core Business Platforms and IT Integration Unit.

Szymon Tatara holds an MBA in Strategic Programme and Project Management from Gdańsk University of Technology, obtained in 2012. Prior to that, they earned an MSc in Computer Science from the same university between 1993 and 1999. Their earlier education includes attending the 6th High School in Gdynia (VI Liceum Ogólnokształcące w Gdyni) from 1989 to 1993, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. Additionally, Szymon has obtained certifications such as Oracle Cloud Data Management 2023 Certified Foundations Associate from Oracle in August 2023, and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI in November 2010.
