Perfecta Oxholm

Perfect Oxholm, Senior Associate, works in the office of the Founder in Residence to support the projects, events, and activities of Angela Glover Blackwell through research, writing, scholarship, and critical reflection. Perfecta is also a doctoral candidate at the Goldman School of Public Policy where she taught the course Critical Race Theory and Public Policy. Her research focuses on the historical roots and modern manifestation of racism and the use of public policy to structure inequality. Prior to the PhD program, Perfecta was the executive director of Esperanza Housing and Economic Development, a community development organization serving the Latino community in North Philadelphia through housing and community economic development strategies. Perfecta holds a master’s in social work and a master’s in public administration from the University of Pennsylvania, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Niger, West Africa. Perfecta lives in San Francisco with her husband and two kids. She loves reading, writing, co-creating for collective liberation, and stand-up comedy.
