Yaya Sarjat began their work experience in 2019 as a Sales and Marketing Intern at Enaq Sauce Sdn Bhd. Yaya was responsible for handling customer orders and incoming calls from outlets, as well as supporting the roll out of marketing campaigns and liaising with the graphic design team. In 2020, they joined Monroe Consulting Group as an Executive Recruitment Consultant - Industrial. Here, they were responsible for recruiting in developing markets. In 2021, they moved to Pop Meals as a Talent Acquisition Executive, where they were responsible for sourcing and matching candidates on permanent or contractual positions. Finally, in 2022, they joined Poladrone as a Recruitment Specialist, where they were in charge of the recruitment process for the organisation, managing all job listings, monitoring incoming applications, and handling university partnerships for internship placement.

Yaya Sarjat received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) between 2013 and 2019.
