Eric Thomas leads the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion practice at Genesys. He is charged with developing global programs that deliver progressive diversity and foster an inclusive culture throughout the company. Attracting, developing and promoting talent that is representative of the communities her serve is a business priority for Genesys, and one that encourages employees to bring their best selves to work every day.
Prior to his current role, Eric served as vice president, Global Delivery, in Genesys Professional Services leading a team of more than 450 employees responsible for worldwide implementation services.
Previously, Eric held multiple leadership roles at Alcatel-Lucent and Ericsson where he drove employee resource groups focused on the unique challenges African Americans face in corporate settings. Eric co-founded and served on the board of three non-profit organizations that mentored young African American males in underserved cities. He also supported creation of the Collin County NAACP branch where he remains an active member.
Eric holds a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in business administration from Eastern New Mexico University as well as an executive management certificate from the London School of Business.
