Sylvie Amstutz is currently a STRAW Program Restoration Technician at Point Blue Conservation Science since July 2023. Prior experience includes serving as an Adventure Recreation Leader at the University of California, Santa Cruz from September 2020 to August 2023, where Sylvie led outdoor trips and fostered student engagement. Sylvie also worked as an Arboretum Gardener in the California Native Plant Program, teaching and leading student interns, and served as a Student Mentor for a Field Inquiry course, guiding freshman students in natural history. Earlier roles include intern positions at Deer Hill Expeditions and the National Park Service, where Sylvie engaged in wilderness outreach and educational programs, alongside being a Retail and Information Assistant for Yosemite Conservancy. Sylvie holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, earned in June 2023.
