Joe Herbst has over 20 years of work experience. Joe began their career in 1996 as a Principal Engineer at Broadcom. In 2001, they became the Director of Marketing at Pixelworks. Joe then moved on to Stexar, where they were the Director of Marketing from 2006 to 2008. In 2008, they joined Ambric as the VP of Marketing and LSI Virticus as President and CEO. From 2014 to 2015, they were Principal at CleanSlate Technologies - UVTablets.com and West Coast RSM - Lighting Controls at Eaton - Lighting. From 2015 to 2016, they were Principal at OnlineLightingRep.com. Since 2016, they have been the CTO at PoE Texas, where they lead a team that has developed an advanced IoT platform of interoperable products (> 200) that are unified through a Power over Ethernet (PoE) backbone.

Joe Herbst completed a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Delaware between 1985 and 1989. Joe then went on to Purdue University and obtained a Master of Science in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering in 1990. In 1999, they finished their Master of Business Administration in Business Administration and Management, General from Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business.
