Dean Cyr has over three decades of law enforcement experience, beginning a career in October 1988 as a police dispatcher with the Plainville Police Department, advancing to patrolman in 1990 and then being appointed Detective in 1992, ultimately serving as Detective Sergeant until September 2011. Since August 2011, Dean Cyr has been a Police Officer at the Plymouth Police Department, fulfilling roles as a patrolman, Field Training Officer, and occasionally serving as an adjunct Detective. In recognition of outstanding service, Dean Cyr received the Police Officer of the Year award in 2021.
