Steve Hutson has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Steve started their career in 1989 at Chevron, where they worked as a Production Engineer for offshore and onshore oil and gas producing fields. Steve was responsible for optimizing wells and also worked as a wastewater and sulfur recovery unit engineer in a refinery. In 1994, they joined Flores and Rucks as a Field Engineer, and later moved to Betz Dearborn as a Water/Waste Treatment Sales Engineer. In 1996, they joined ABB (formerly Bailey Controls Company), where they worked as a Controls Engineer and later as a Lead Process Control Engineer. Steve gained experience in designing, implementing, testing, validating, and starting up industrial automation controls projects using Bailey/ABB DCS software. Steve worked in the biotech and metals/mining industries. In 2003, they joined Rockwell Automation as a Lead Process Control Engineer, specializing in using Rockwell (Allen Bradley) software for industrial automation projects in the biotech, consumer processed goods, and biofuels industries. In 2009, they joined Premier System Integrators as a Controls Engineer, before moving to E-Technologies Group in 2010 as a Lead Process Control Engineer. Steve is currently with Plus Group of companies as a Consulting Senior Engineer.
Steve Hutson earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Mississippi State University between the years 1985 and 1988.
