Steve Chen is a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer currently at Plus since January 2024. Prior to this role, Steve served as Lead Mechanical Design Engineer at Woven by Toyota from July 2021 to August 2023. Steve also contributed to Lyft's Level 5 Autonomous Vehicle Division as a Mechanical Design Engineer from October 2018 to July 2021, focusing on self-driving systems for ridesharing. Earlier experience includes mechanical design work at Zero Motorcycles Inc., and as Lead Product Design Engineer at Verizon, where responsibilities encompassed electro-mechanical packaging for IoT devices. Steve began their career at Foxconn, working on the manufacturing design of iPhone sub-enclosures. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA, earned in 2011, and graduated from Torrey Pines High School in 2007.
