Miro Samardžija has a strong background in antenna design and RF engineering. Miro started their career at I-Systems Ltd., where they co-founded the company and served as the Managing Director. Miro led a team of engineers and provided consulting services for international tech companies.

Miro then joined Apple as an Antenna Engineer, designing and integrating antennas and RF components for various products, including the Apple Watch and iPad Air. Miro later became a Senior Antenna Engineer and Technical Lead for the Apple Watch project, leading a team and providing guidance to factory engineers.

Currently, Miro is working at Plume Design, Inc as the Director of Antenna Design/RF Engineering. Miro oversees teams and leads efforts in prototyping and demonstrating innovative products and services, including device roaming, smart home automation, and wearables. Miro is also responsible for leading antenna and RF teams and co-leading efforts in electrical and mechanical engineering. Miro has successfully shipped several products, including SuperPods with LTE backup and PoE+, SuperPods with WiFi 6E, and SuperPods with WiFi 6 and UWB.

Miro Samardžija completed a PhD in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2009. Before that, they obtained an M.Eng. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the same institute from 2004 to 2006. Miro also holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, which they obtained from 1999 to 2004. In addition, they participated in an Abroad Education Program at Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University in 2001, where they studied Russian language, literature, poetry, and art. Miro also obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Stanford University in 2017.
