Christian Montero has a diverse work experience in engineering and research. Christian is currently working as a System Engineer at Plug Power since February 2023. Prior to this, they were an Electrical Engineer at Naval Nuclear Laboratory (FMP) from August 2022 to February 2023. Christian also worked as a System Engineer at Plug Power from July 2021 to July 2022. In 2020, they interned at NYSERDA where they completed community outreach and research projects related to electrical system upgrades in single-family homes. Before that, they worked as a Research Assistant at Siena College from May 2018 to April 2020, where they contributed to multiple research projects presented at national, state, and local levels.

Christian Montero completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from Siena College in the years 2017 to 2020. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering at Clarkson University Graduate School from 2020 to 2021. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certificate in AutoCAD: Fundamentals from IMAGINiT Technologies in December 2020.
