Ron Freund is a seasoned professional in the field of electric vehicle advocacy and technology, currently serving as Co-founder and Director at PlugInAmerica since August 2005, alongside a role as a board member on the PlugInAmerica.org Steering Committee. Previously, Freund held the position of Past Chairman at the Electric Auto Association from January 2001 to May 2018, where efforts focused on promoting electric vehicle understanding and the transition to electric propulsion in transportation. Additionally, Freund worked as an engineer at HP SSRT from April 1986 to May 2015, specializing in product security within the Global Cyber Security organization and holding the (ISC)2 CISSP certification. Education includes a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University.
