Satya Vattekat has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Satya is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of PledgX, an AI-driven marketplace for general contractors. At PledgX, they have developed an innovative SaaS solution to increase bonding capacity and enhance firms' ability to compete in the public sector.

Prior to PledgX, Satya served as the Managing Director at Vaisya Technology Inc in 2019.

From 2020 to 2022, they worked as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Thompson Rivers University.

Satya also held a significant position at Scotiabank from 2014 to 2019, where they served as Vice President for Lending Services in Global Wholesale Operations. Satya provided leadership to a team of over 160 staff and was responsible for corporate loan operations, trade finance activities, and transactional risk control.

Before Scotiabank, they worked at CIBC from 2008 to 2014, holding the positions of Executive Director & Head of Trade Finance, Global Banks, and Director of Emerging Markets Financial Institutions. While at CIBC, Satya managed relationships with leading financial institutions in emerging markets and executed strategies to grow revenue within acceptable risk parameters.

In 2005, Satya worked at AIG as a Global Trade & Political Risk Underwriter, where they managed and underwrote trade receivables policies and developed new business opportunities.

From 2003 to 2005, they served as an Assistant Vice President at Mashreqbank, providing leadership to a team of relationship managers and credit analysts in the Commercial Banking group.

Satya started their career at National Bank of Fujairah p.s.c. in 1999 as a Senior Relationship Manager, managing a portfolio of major commercial relationships and originating new credit commitments.

In 1989, they began their career at Union National Bank, initially working as a Customer Service Representative before transitioning to the role of Senior Business Analyst in Electronic Banking Services. Satya also served as a Senior Credit Officer in the Commercial Banking Branch, leading a team of credit officers and analysts.

Satya Vattekat began their education in 1978 at SSKZM, where they completed their high school education. After graduating, they attended the National Defense Academy from 1984 to 1987, specializing in Military Science. Following their military education, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Hull from 2000 to 2003, with a focus on General studies. In 2003, Satya enrolled in The Credit Institute of Canada and completed the Certified Credit Professional (CCP) program from 2003 to 2005.
