Hector Rivera is an experienced professional in the fields of equity, inclusion, and community engagement within the performing arts and education sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Equity and Inclusion at Playwrights Horizons since January 2023, Hector also provided training at the Center for Racial Justice in Education since December 2018. Previously, Hector held significant roles at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, including Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager and Manager of Community Engagement. With a background that also includes program management at DreamYard Project and The Berkshire Fringe, Hector has a strong foundation in supporting children and family programs. With a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies and Theatre from Bard College at Simon's Rock and a Children's Program Administrator Credential from CUNY School of Professional Studies, Hector combines academic knowledge with practical experience to advance equity and inclusion initiatives.
